The straps are the right size and are neither too thick nor too thin.
We found that their width made them the most comfortable, but this may not be the case for everyone.
We can feel the roughness of the fabric all over our arms and shoulders when we take off our sleeves for the day.
Two things cause this roughness.
First, the piping along the straps is thick and stiff.
Second, the rough mesh used by Carhartt stands out in this case.
The mesh isn’t as refined as on other bags, but the more significant holes help with ventilation.
The way the shoulder straps sloped might have caught your eye.
They are, but we don’t see how they could make a difference.
The curve is too small to do much more than make someone look different.
This small problem doesn’t seem to change how well things work.
